> Winrock International is recruiting an Indonesia Team Leader, Sustainable Palm Oil Public Private Partnerships around an anticipated USAID-funded project. This position will be based in Jakarta, Indonesia. The anticipated project will address the constellation of market forces, financial incentives, policy levers, social norms and values driving deforestation and biodiversity loss in Indonesia in order to promote changes in individual and organizational behavior to reduce greenhouse gas GHG emissions and conserve valuable marine and terrestrial biodiversity nationwide. The Indonesia Team Leader, Public Private Partnerships, will engage private sector entities dependent on land-use change, particularly in the palm oil sector, in the promotion of new conservation-oriented low carbon business models that reduce GHG emissions and conserve valuable biodiversity. Responsibilities include liaising with public and private actors in the palm oil and other
agribusiness sectors to promote and strengthen the development and application of sustainable policies and procedures and to coordinate and facilitate national adoption of successful low carbon conservation strategies via public private partnerships. The Indonesia Team Leader will work closely with relevant Government of Indonesia Ministries, private sector actors, signatories of the Indonesian Palm Oil Pledge, relevant business associations such as the Chamber of Commerce (KADIN) and the Indonesian Palm Oil Association (GAPKI), and major Indonesian banks.
